"One of the many barriers in securing meaningful employment for refugees and migrants is the lack of understanding on the local recruitment process and how to best portray oneself in interviews and resumes. Unfortunately, refugees and migrants' job applications tend to be overlooked due to the limited local knowledge on how to properly convey those skills/experience in their resumes and during interviews, as a result they may not attain the career breakthrough they need. Such circumstances pave way for the underutilisation of refugees and migrants valuable skills as they tend to then settle for lower level jobs or work in a completely different industry.
